Eid-Ul-Fitr has a meticulous Islamic prayer, which consists of two Raka’ah or simply units in a large hall or an open field.
On the day of Eid, Muslims wear their best clothes and gather in the mosques to offer a special prayer called Salat Ul-Eid and greet each other Eid Mubarak by hugging each other.
Muslims also visit their relatives, friends and neighbours and exchange wishes, gifts, and sweets like Seviyan.
The best part of Eid for children is that they get money, gifts and toys from their elders.
Some interesting facts about Ramadan
- To fast in Ramadan encourages sympathy for needy and hungry and motivates Muslims for donating very generously to all underprivileged.
- According to Muslim belief, they are commanded by Almighty ALLAH to do the fasting until the conclusion of Ramadan as mentioned in Holy Qur’an and also pay Zakat-Ul-Fitr before offering the Eid prayer.
